I am not a writer, but my head is constantly full of ideas. Occasionally a snippet manages to slip out in the form of drawing. This is one of those times.
I had the sudden urge to draw an angry yet protective looking Sebastian. The urge came with an idea, which gave me a basic scene. I had loosely imagined something playing out to this effect:
Sebastian has left (mage) Hawke in a rage for not killing Anders in Kirkwall. Don’t yet know if Seb and Hawke already started a romance, or if it had only been about to start, but there was definitely heartbreak on both sides.
Fast forward a bit and Sebastian is now crowned Prince of Starkhaven. It is no secret that he seems to bare no love (currently) towards Apostate mages. So when Hawke shows up in Starkhaven (reason still unknown, like I said, just ideas), there is not a welcoming atmosphere towards the mage. She is not in the best condition when she arrives as is, so when a group of mage resenting thugs attack her, it does not go well.
Sebastian (once again, for unknown reason yet) is riding through the city and comes apon this. He approaches, intending to just break it up and drag whatever mage of to the circle himself. Then he notices it’s Hawke. Hit with a million emotions at once (rage, love, sadness, resentment, fear, etc…), his heart breaks all over again and all at once he breaks fast at the group and throws himself from his horse over her to shield her with his own body, much to the surprise of his people. I imagine him darkly muttering something along the lines of “You will not lay another hand on her again, unless you are prepared to part with it.”
And that’s got me to here. Like I said, not a writer, so as much as I would love to see this played out, this is all I can do for now. This is, of course, just the rough sketch. At least one idea got to come out to play. :)
